Privacy policy
Outlands Labs ("we") publishes Gridwatch Brief. This policy explains what we collect and why. Short version: we collect your email address to send the newsletter, we never sell it, and you can leave at any time.
What we collect
- Email address, when you subscribe. Our email provider also records standard delivery data such as opens, clicks, and bounces.
- Purchase details, if you buy the Patch Priority Kit. Payment is handled by our payment provider; we never see or store full card numbers. We receive your name, email, country, and order details.
- Website data. This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers. Our host may keep short-lived server logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security, and we may use privacy-friendly, cookie-free aggregate analytics.
How we use it
- To send the brief and messages about products you asked for.
- To deliver purchases, handle refunds, and meet tax and accounting duties.
- To keep the site and list secure and free of abuse.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that run the newsletter, payments, and hosting for us, under their own privacy terms, and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices and rights
- Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing hello@gridwatchbrief.example. Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA, or the EU/UK under the GDPR), you may have additional rights, and you will not be treated differently for using them.
- For EU/UK readers, our legal basis is your consent for the newsletter and contract performance for purchases.
Retention
We keep subscriber data while you are subscribed and delete it within 90 days of a deletion request, except purchase records we must keep for tax purposes.
Children
Gridwatch Brief is for IT professionals and is not directed to children under 16.
